Mission

The mission of the St. Luke Church is to maintain and operate a Missionary Baptist Church with a spiritual focus on the Holy Bible based on the King James Version and:

  1. To preach the gospel and teach the doctrines of Jesus Christ.
  2. To spread the gospel in the church, home, school and community.
  3. To support the missions and education with a focus on spreading the gospel throughout the world.
  4. To participate in civic and community affairs for the benefit and development of all.

Church Doctrine

St. Luke MBC receives the scriptures, according to the Holy Bible (King James Version), as its sole authority in matters of faith and practice. It is the understanding of Christian truth, as contained thereinthat is in essential accord with the belief of The Missionary Baptist Church.

Observance of Church Ordinances

  1. Baptism means total body immersion in water and is required for membership.
  2. The Lord’s Supper, as an observance of the life of Jesus, is ofspiritual significance to each individual member. As Jesus gave the broken bread to his disciples, He said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” As He gave them the cup, He said, “Drink ye all of it; For this is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” (Matt. 26:26-28)
  3. It is clearly defined that the observance of the Lord’s Supper is a spiritual church ordinance for church members and should be observed in church. Members should partake on a regular basis. Upon request, provisions will be made for members that are shut-in and wish to take communion.
